I cannot believe that I am about to tell you this, BUT...apparently I am a Kenny Chesney fan.  You won't hate me, will you?  I know, I know...I should be embarassed.  It's true, it's true...I don't know when it happened.  He kinda just snuck up on me, you know?  Anywhooooo...I have been coming to terms with this revelation all day.  I think I will get through this...but I guess I do think his tractor is sexy...

Brass Monkey...

That funky monkey...Love that song and love that brass.  I have been having a serious love affair with brass lighting for quite some time now.  I even dedicated a whole board to it on my pinterest, http://pinterest.com/shannonyauilla/.  Follow me!!!  Anywhooooo...I decided that I must have some brass in my house...And I found some really great stuff at a local thrift store.  The tall lamp was $15 and I found the other 2 at other ends of the store.  One was marked $12 and the other was marked $5.  The super nice lady who rang me up decided that if one was $5, then the other should be too.  I agreed...Score!!!  Three super cool, working brass lamps for $25!!!!!  Holla...

Think the matching ones are either going to be new bedside lamps OR going on my campaign dresser that will be going in my dining room,  with black lamp shades.  Yes, I drank the kool-aid and stalked craigslist until I found a campaign dresser.  But that's another story...;)

I dreamt of vintage suzanis' last night...again.  But doesn't everyone?  I have been coveting them for quite some time now.  On the bed, covering a chair, a pillow!  Even hanging on the wall...I.must.have.one!!!  So here are some insirational photos...I'm off to ebay!

Oh you Thursday...

So I have gotten up early and got the diddle up and dressed and fed and teeth-brushed and hair up and out the door and to school.  I have made the beds, done the dishes, straightened up random things, and cleaned and brasso-ed my new brass lamp...I have had 3 cups of coffee, and could go for more.  I am eating ham and collards--again--that's ok, right?  But I haven't brushed my teeth...don't judge, it's Thursday...here are some pics of said brass lamp.  Enjoy!
